SELF PORTRAIT
A few years ago, I read a book about a woman with synesthesia whose perception of letters and numbers was associated with various colors. This uncommon trait also extended to names and people.
I was impressed by her description of new characters- their physical features, clothing choices, accents taking a back seat instead to a rich palette of unlikely shapes and tones. Her vivid descriptions inspired me to create Self Portrait. This is me.
